SAFETY

TimberNorth Consulting achieved Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification in 2017 with our certifying partner - the Alberta Safety Council (ASC).  Our organization is very proud to have been recognized for this achievement.  TimberNorth understands that the strength of our company comes from our employees.  Our commitment is to provide a safe work environment for all employees, subcontractors and visitors at all of our worksites.

Our company takes all reasonable steps to prevent work related incidents through the recognition, evaluation, control, and, wherever practical, the removal of hazards.  We promote the awareness of occupational health and safety issues and safe work practices and procedures, maintain an effective Safety Management System and environmental management plan and maintain compliance with provincial and federal occupational health and safety legislation.  TimberNorth supports employee involvement in all aspects of occupational health and safety and strives to continually improve our Safety Management System and minimize workplace incidents and injuries and reduce lost time accidents.

Our employees have safety training from many different industries across Alberta including Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) and Construction Safety Training System (CSTS).

TimberNorth puts a valuable price on their safety program.  In the field we provide every employee with a SPOT Satellite Messenger to ensure they have an immediate link to help if needed.  As well as attention to employees' personal safety, TimberNorth utilizes the Digital Action Tracking System (DATS) to manage and track our entire safety program.  This platform ensures that employees have the most up to date training and keep current with tasks assigned to them.
